1. Scope and acceptance

By using the MintDex website, apps or Marketplace, or joining the MintDex Early Access list, you agree to these Terms to the extent applicable to the service you use.

These Terms cover the MintDex website, the MintDex apps for iOS and Android, your MintDex account, subscriptions, the MintDex Marketplace and the Early Access program.

If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use MintDex.

2. Current operator

MintDex is currently operated by a team that has not yet been incorporated as a company. These Terms will be updated if the legal operator changes.

3. Early Access and beta participation

Joining the Early Access list expresses your interest in MintDex and allows us to send beta invitations, launch information and product updates after you complete double opt-in confirmation.

• Joining the list does not guarantee access to a beta, a particular feature, a launch date or a place in any testing phase.
• We may limit, postpone, modify or end an Early Access or beta program when reasonably necessary for development, security, capacity or product reasons.
• Early builds may contain bugs, incomplete features, inaccurate data or temporary service interruptions.
• You may unsubscribe from product communications at any time.

Where a specific beta later requires additional confidentiality, testing or participation terms, those terms will be presented separately before participation.

4. Your account

You must be at least 16 to create an account and at least 18 to use the Marketplace. You may have one personal account. Keep your sign-in details safe; you are responsible for what is done with your account.

Your username must not imitate another person or brand and must not be offensive. We may refuse a username, or limit, suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms. We tell you the reasons and how to appeal (see “Reports, decisions and appeals”).

You can delete your account at any time in Settings.

5. Subscriptions, Mint points and invites

Pro and Pro Plus are sold through the App Store or Google Play and billed by Apple or Google under their terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in your store account settings. Prices are shown before you buy.

Mint points and rewards are a free loyalty feature. They have no cash value and cannot be sold, transferred or exchanged for money. Points earned through fraud, linked accounts or a breach of these Terms may be removed. We may change the rewards with notice in the app; rewards already received are not affected.

6. Card information, prices and market data

MintDex is designed to help collectors identify, organize and monitor trading cards and related market information. MintDex does not sell trading cards itself. Users can sell to each other through the Marketplace (see below).

Prices, listings, trends, card metadata and other market information may originate from or be derived from third-party sources. Market information can change quickly and may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable or inaccurate.

MintDex market data is provided for collection-management and informational purposes. It is not a guaranteed appraisal, binding sale price, financial advice or investment advice.

You remain responsible for independently checking information before making a purchase, sale, trade or other financial decision.

Pull rates come from third-party sources and from openings logged by users. They are estimates and do not guarantee what a pack contains.

AI pre-grading is an automatic estimate made from your photos. It is not a grade from a professional grading company and does not guarantee the grade you will receive.

7. The Marketplace

Who you deal with. The Marketplace lets collectors list cards and contact each other. A sale is a contract between the buyer and the seller only. MintDex is not the buyer or the seller, does not receive or hold payments, does not ship items, and offers no buyer protection or refunds.

Payment and shipping. You agree on payment and shipping in the chat and complete them outside MintDex, with the services you choose (for example PayPal, a bank transfer or meeting in person). Those services' own terms apply. Prefer methods with buyer protection, and never pay with a method you cannot reverse to someone you do not trust.

Private sellers and businesses. If you sell as part of a business, you must say so when you list and give the business details we ask for. Consumer rights such as the 14-day right of withdrawal and the legal guarantee apply only when you buy from a business. They do not apply between private individuals.

Listings. You may list only trading cards and related products that you own and can deliver. Photos must show the actual item, and the condition, language and grade must be described honestly. You must not list counterfeits, proxies or reproductions presented as real, stolen items, or anything illegal. You must not use a listing to lure people to other sites.

Ratings. After a deal, the buyer and the seller can rate each other. Ratings must be honest and relate to the deal. We remove a rating only if it breaks these Terms, for example if it is offensive or false, or was obtained by threats. You can report a rating you believe breaks the rules.

Taxes. You are responsible for any taxes on your sales.

8. Messages

Be respectful in chats. Offensive words are blocked automatically. To protect you from scams, phone numbers, email addresses, bank details and links to other messaging apps are hidden, except the payment details needed for an accepted deal. Messages are checked automatically for scams, and suspicious messages may carry a warning. MintDex staff read a conversation only when it is reported, flagged by these checks, part of a dispute, or required by law. You can block and report any user.

9. Reports, decisions and appeals

Reporting. You can report a listing, profile, message or rating from the app. Anyone, with or without an account, can report illegal content with the form on our Legal page. We confirm reports and handle them promptly, carefully and objectively.

Our decisions. If we remove or limit your content or account, we tell you what we did, why, which rule or law it is based on, whether automated tools were used, and how to challenge it.

Appeals. You can appeal a decision free of charge in the app within six months, once per decision. A person reviews every appeal. You can also go to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body (listed by the European Commission) or to the courts.

Repeated abuse. We may suspend accounts that repeatedly post illegal content or break these Terms, and stop handling reports from people who repeatedly send unfounded ones.

10. Third-party services and links

The website or future MintDex services may reference or link to third-party marketplaces, platforms or services. Those services are operated independently and are governed by their own terms and privacy practices.

A reference or link does not imply that MintDex controls, guarantees or endorses the availability, accuracy, transactions, policies or conduct of a third-party service.

11. Acceptable use

You must not use MintDex, its forms or related services to:

• interfere with, overload, probe or attempt to bypass security or anti-abuse protections;
• submit automated, deceptive, fraudulent or abusive requests;
• attempt unauthorized access to systems, databases or accounts;
• introduce malicious code or intentionally disrupt service availability;
• use MintDex in a way that violates applicable law or the rights of others.
• copy, scrape or extract prices, listings or catalogue data in bulk, by any means;
• modify the app or get around its security or device checks;
• create several accounts to earn points, evade a ban or manipulate ratings;
• harass, threaten, deceive or scam other users, or impersonate anyone;
• send spam or unsolicited advertising.

We may block or restrict abusive traffic and take reasonable technical measures to protect the service.

12. Intellectual property and trademarks

The MintDex name, branding, website design, original interface elements, text and original software are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws and may not be copied, redistributed or used to create a misleadingly similar service except where permitted by law or with permission.

You keep ownership of the photos and text you post. You give MintDex a free, non-exclusive licence to store, show, resize and adapt them in order to run MintDex, for as long as they remain on MintDex and for the retention periods in the Privacy Policy. You must have the rights to everything you post. We do not use your photos or messages to train AI models.

Trading card game names, logos, card artwork, characters and other third-party intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners.

MintDex is an independent service and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by the owners of the trading card games it supports unless expressly stated otherwise.

13. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the website available and information reasonably current, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, hosting issues, security events, development changes or circumstances outside our reasonable control may temporarily affect access.

Because MintDex is under active development, planned features, supported TCGs, interfaces, launch timing and product descriptions may change before release. We will avoid presenting material product changes in a deliberately misleading way.

14. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The website and pre-release information are provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not guarantee that all content, market information or development projections will always be accurate, complete, current or uninterrupted.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, MintDex is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising solely from reliance on non-guaranteed market information, third-party services, temporary website unavailability or pre-release functionality.

MintDex is not responsible for items, payments, shipping or any agreement between users, to the extent permitted by law. Any claim about a sale is between the buyer and the seller.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law, including mandatory consumer protections or liability that cannot legally be waived.

15. Privacy

Personal data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. Information about cookies and similar browser technologies is provided in the Cookie Policy.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as MintDex develops, particularly before the production app, accounts or paid subscriptions are introduced. The effective date shown at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.

We tell you in the app before a significant change takes effect.

If a future change materially affects an existing paid service or other contractual relationship, any additional notice required by applicable law will be provided.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Italian law, subject to any mandatory protections or jurisdiction rights that apply to consumers under the law of their country of residence.

Where the law allows the parties to agree on jurisdiction and no mandatory consumer rule provides otherwise, disputes relating to these Terms will be subject to the competent courts in Italy.
