1. Scope

This Cookie Policy applies to the public MintDex website at mintdex-cards.com and to the MintDex web app at app.mintdex-cards.com. It should be read together with the Privacy Policy, which explains how MintDex processes personal data more generally, including in the mobile apps.

For the purposes of this policy, “cookies and similar technologies” includes cookies, local or session storage and comparable browser-side mechanisms that may be used to operate or secure a web feature.

2. Current use of cookies and similar technologies

MintDex does not currently use non-essential cookies or similar technologies for behavioural analytics, advertising, profiling, cross-site marketing or audience measurement.

The website may use strictly necessary technical or security mechanisms when they are required to provide a feature requested by you or to protect the site from abuse.

Because the current site does not deploy non-essential tracking technologies, MintDex does not display a marketing-cookie consent banner. If this changes, this policy and the website's consent mechanism will be updated before non-essential tracking is enabled.

3. Strictly necessary technologies

Strictly necessary technologies are used only where required for the technical delivery or security of a service. They are not used by MintDex to build advertising profiles or track your browsing across unrelated websites.

On mintdex-cards.com, the main security technology is the anti-abuse protection used by the Early Access form (section 4). On app.mintdex-cards.com, two cookies keep you signed in: a session cookie and a cookie holding your username and profile photo. Both are deleted when you sign out and expire after 7 days. Google Firebase, which handles sign-in, keeps your sign-in state in your browser's storage. The web app also stores a few display preferences in your browser, such as hidden values or dismissed notices.

4. Cloudflare Turnstile

The Early Access form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile to reduce automated submissions, spam and abuse. MintDex is configured to load Turnstile when you interact with the protected signup flow rather than using it as a site-wide analytics tool.

Turnstile processes browser, device and network security signals required to assess whether an interaction appears legitimate or automated. Cookies, local storage or comparable browser mechanisms may be used where technically necessary for the challenge and security process.

MintDex does not use Turnstile for advertising or behavioural analytics. Turnstile pre-clearance is not enabled for the Early Access form, so MintDex does not intentionally request a site-wide cf_clearance cookie from the Turnstile widget.

5. Technologies we do not currently use

• Advertising cookies or pixels: not used.
• Profiling or cross-site tracking: not used.
• Behavioural analytics platforms: not used.
• Social-media tracking pixels: not used.

If MintDex introduces a non-essential technology in the future, it will not be treated as strictly necessary merely because it is useful to us. Where consent is legally required, the technology will remain disabled until the relevant choice has been made.

6. Browser controls

Most browsers allow you to inspect, block or delete cookies and site storage through their privacy or site-data settings. Blocking strictly necessary technologies may prevent protected features, such as the Early Access signup, from working correctly.

Because MintDex currently has no optional tracking categories, there is no separate MintDex preference centre to manage advertising or analytics consent.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy if the website gains new functionality or if the technologies used to operate it change. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date shown at the top of this page.

If a future change introduces cookies or similar technologies that require consent, MintDex will add an appropriate consent mechanism before those technologies are activated.
